CogAT & Iowa Testing
CogAT and Iowa Assessments will be given to all 2nd Grade students from Monday, October 9 through Friday, October 13. The test will be administered starting at 8:30 each morning.
The CogAT and Iowa tests are nationally standardized aptitude tests which measure student success and performance in reading and mathematics.
This test will determine whether your child qualifies for the gifted and talented program.
While the tests are not timed, each day’s assessment will take a minimum of one hour.
Parents, Please Remember To:
- Make sure your child gets enough rest the night before testing.
- Ensure that your child is on time to school to eat breakfast if they do not eat at home.
- Remind your child to take their time and not rush.
- Encourage your child to do their very best on the test!
